OUR PROMISE

For the postpartum mom desperate to feel like herself again.

For the toddler mom needing a safe place to move her body while her baby runs free.

For the pregnant mama wanting a safe prenatal workout surrounded by women who understand.

For the mother in need of a connection with someone in the same season as her.

This space is for YOU.

Core & Cradle is a manifestation of what so many women are craving.

It’s a place to move their bodies alongside their babies.

A place to rebuild strength safely and intentionally.

A place to form real connections and community in a season that can feel isolating.

This work is deeply personal. It’s rooted in experience, education, and lived understanding of motherhood and movement.

Core & Cradle exists to support women through one of the most transformative seasons of their lives - by leaning on other women in the same chapter.

MEET SOMER

“I’m Somer, founder of Core & Cradle.

Pilates and I go back 14 years, nearly half of my life.

I discovered reformer Pilates at sixteen, through a close friend who was a dancer. I was immediately drawn to the discipline, precision, and intelligence behind the method.

At seventeen, I was certified through a boutique studio in upstate New York and began teaching reformer Pilates throughout college. It was here that I met the love of my life.

I went on to earn a B.S. in Business Administration, but I knew Pilates was my true passion. It was the work I wanted to fully commit to and master.

After graduating, I moved to Toronto and completed six months of full time comprenehsive training with STOTT Pilates, one of the most respected Pilates education programs in the world. The program ran nine to five and resulted in full classical certification across all Pilates apparatus, including reformer, cadillac, chair, barrels, and mat.

After my training, I relocated to Sarasota and began teaching at a reformer studio before eventually launching my own online Pilates subscription platform focused on intelligent, at-home mat Pilates. I built this platform just before Covid, which gave me the flexibility to relocate to London and continue teaching while building a life with my now husband.

I eventually stepped into the world of software sales and business development. While different from movement, this chapter sharpened my skills in strategy, growth, and building sustainable businesses.

During my maternity leave, I was laid off from my corporate role. At the time, it was painful. In hindsight, it was the moment that brought me back to my purpose.

In the early weeks postpartum, nap trapped on the couch in surviving a brutal New York winter, I opened the Core and Cradle Instagram account. I was craving connection, movement, and a way to feel like myself again while navigating new motherhood.

A few months later, my husband and I packed our bags, and our newborn, and made our way back to our forever home in Sarasota, Florida.”
